Mid-Term Review meeting in Birmingham, UK

Catsense Mid-Term Review meeting was held on November 5th and 6th 2015 at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel Snow Hill in Birmingham city centre with the social dinner on the 5th organised at L'annexe restaurant.

Travel from the Airport

  • Train
    • There are regular trains from Birmingham Airport into Birmingham New Street Station (10/15 minutes). Fare is approximately £2.40 to 3.60.
  • Taxi
    • Birmingham Airport is located approximately 13 miles by road from the hotel (15/20 minutes).  A taxi fare is approximately £25.00.

Travel by Train

  • New Street station is located 10 minutes by foot from the hotel or a £5 taxi ride. 
  • If you wish to walk, exit the Train Station via the New Street exit.  Take a right and then the next left onto Lower Temple Street.  Continue uphill until you reach St. Philip’s Cathedral.  Cross the Cathedral park diagonally to the right and cross the road.  Birmingham Snow Hill station will be in front of you.  Take the steps to the right of the station entrance and follow Snow Hill Queensway down to the next junction.  The hotel is located on the corner of this junction. 


Travel by Car

  • From the airport follow road signs for Birmingham City Centre. 
  • You will be directed onto the  M6 motorway where you must exit at JCT 6 and keep left at the fork. Follow signs for A38(M)/Birmingham(Cent.) and merge onto A38(M). Continue onto Corporation St/A38 Continue to follow A38.Slight left onto St. Chads Queensway/A4400, then take the 1st left onto Whittall St. Take the 1st right onto Weaman St and the hotel is on your left. 
  • There is a NCP car park connected to the hotel; as a guest, you receive a discount.
